What counts as a transaction in our packages

How we count volume, so you can choose the right package.

1 min readReviewed October 2026

Our packages are priced by the number of transactions we record each month. Here is how we count them.

One transaction is one line we record

  • Each line on a bank, card or cash statement.
  • Each sales invoice or credit note recorded.
  • Each supplier bill recorded.
  • Each expense claim line.
  • Each payroll journal entry.

An example

A consultancy issues 10 sales invoices, receives 8 supplier bills and has 30 lines on its bank statement in a month. That is 48 transactions, which fits the Starter package.

If your volume changes

Volumes vary. If your business grows and you regularly need a larger package, we will agree the change with you before the next month. You can use the package finder on the pricing page to estimate your volume.
